  • Have successfully completed the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting (or equivalent).
  •  Are working in an accounting role and wish to advance to management-level positions.
  •  Want to gain exemptions towards professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or ICAEW.
  •  Intend to progress to more senior roles such as Finance Manager, Management Accountant,

The course is structured into three mandatory units and two optional units (selected based on your career goals).

Mandatory Units

1 Applied Management Accounting

2 Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements

  • Understand the reporting frameworks that underpin financial reporting.

  • Draft consolidated financial statements.
  • Interpret financial statements using ratio analysis.

3 Internal Accounting Systems and Controls

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of the accounting function within an
    organisation.
  • Evaluate internal control systems.
  • Evaluate an organisation’s accounting system and underpinning procedures.
  • Understand the impact of technology on accounting systems.
  • Recommend improvements to an organisation’s accounting systems.

Optional Units (choose two)

  • Business Tax – calculating and reporting on business tax liabilities.
  • Personal Tax – preparing income tax computations and returns.
  •  Audit and Assurance – principles of auditing and internal control.
  • Cash and Treasury Management – managing liquidity, investment, and financing decisions.
  • Credit and Debt Management – monitoring credit risk and managing debt recovery.

By completing this qualification, learners will be able to take on senior accounting responsibilities
and contribute to strategic business decisions.
